Nishitōkyō is a city located in Tokyo, Japan. As of March 1, 2007, the city has an estimated population of 191,927 and the density of 12,108.58 persons per km². The total area is 15.85 km². The city was founded on January 21, 2001. Before that date, the area was two separate cities Hoya and Tanashi; Hoya and Tanashi merged in 2001. The name Nishi-tokyo means "West Tokyo." (more)
