A Natal Francolin around the wild dog den is no cause for concern. But the Slender Mongoose is potentially deadly. I could be a carrier of the deadly Rabies virus, which could in turn wipe out the whole pack. It's scuttling around the den while the pups are sleeping, picking up titbits left over from food regurgitated by the adults.
