WALTER WILLISON sings "I Do Not Know a Day I Did Not Love You," the song he has been forever identified with since he first introduced it in the 1970-71 Broadway musical TWO BY TWO, with music by Tony Award winner Richard Rodgers [OKLAHOMA!, CAROUSEL, SOUTH PACIFIC, THE KING AND I, et cetera] and lyrics by Tony Award winner Martin Charnin [ANNIE]. Walter Willison received a Tony Award nomination and a Theatre World Award for his musical debut as Japheth, youngest son of Noah [played by Danny Kaye. The original Broadway production was directed by the Legendary Joe Layton, with a book by Peter Stone. Costarring were Joan Copeland, Tricia O'Neil, Madeline Kahn, Marilyn Cooper, Michael Karm and Harry Goz. Costumes were by Fred Voepel, sets by David Hays, and the conductor/musical director was another longtime Rodgers colleague, Jay Blackton [OKLAHOMA!, CAROUSEL, et cetera], with orchestrations by Eddie Sauter. This performance is from The 61st Annual Theatre World Awards, at Studio 54, New York City, on May 23, 2005, hosted by Peter Filichia, who introduces Mr. Willison in this clip.
