A lot of people want to have a brighter smile. But laser treatments can be incredibly expensive. Now, there is a non-laser treatment system that whitens teeth really quickly--in one session--and it will not cost you an arm and a leg. "I work in the wine industry I drink a lot of wine, red wine especially and coffee and over time my teeth get darker. Says Beata Parzych, who has decided she needs to make her smile to be a bit brighter. Very important, it attracts more people, when you smile, your beautiful smile, it makes you more confident." She wanted it done quickly, and wanted it done without spending an arm and a leg. What appears to be a good option is called quick white. The treatment involves placing this whitening gel on the teeth, and then using a light to activate it. Dr. Jeffrey Golub-Evans, a cosmetic dentist at the New York Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, says, “Quick white is a brand new procedure that we developed that takes one third the time of everybody else’s whitening procedure.//20:21 instead of three doses of the whitening gel, you only need one dose to almost approach the same level of whitening, it is really a miracle.” The cost: only 200 dollars for the session—compared to some whitening procedures that cost up to 2,000 dollars. The procedure takes less than an hour. And it is safe because the bleaching material is only on your teeth for a short period of time. Because of this, it creates much less sensitivity than other whiteners. Now, not everyone’s teeth will respond the same. There are other factors, like what you eat and drink, the density of the teeth, how porous they are, and so on. Still, most people will have significantly whiter teeth in just one treatment. It lasts three years or so, but again, this is affected by what people eat and drink. If you’re a heavy coffee drinker or cola drinker, that will stain the teeth. Dr. Golub-Evans says, “We are seeing five to seven shades lighter, which is miraculous, usually with Zoom bleach we get nine shades, ten shades, so more than half of the results of what would normally be three sessions in one third the session and one third the fee as well.” Dr. Golub-Evans states while many people use it as their principal whitening agent, some will also use it at a touch-up. “Brides, re-unions, job interviews, important dates, things like that, they will come in and do a quick white which is why we call it a quick white.” Beata states, “It is easy, you can come on your lunch break and get it done and go back to office.” With your arm and leg intact.
