Aug. 22 - Russia plans to take-off into the world airliner market with new passenger jets, says the country's biggest plane maker. The president of Tupolev told reporters at the MAKS-2007 airshow taking place outside of Moscow they want to secure at least 10 percent of the world market. Meanwhile Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he wants to revive Russia's once mighty aviation sector by merging civilian and military aircraft makers into one giant state-controlled holding, known as the United Aviation Corporation or UAC.
