LAHORE, Dec. 7 (APP)- Punjab Governor Salman Taseer has said government would continue struggle against terrorism till complete elimination of the menance from the country. He was talking to media persons after condoling with the bereaved family of Lt. Col. Dr. Fakharul Hassan, who was martyrd along with his two sons in the terror attack on Parade Lane Mosque in Rawalpindi, at Model Town here on Monday. Earlier, he also visited heirs of Maj. (R) Shoaib, who was also martyred in the attack. The Governor said people of the country were not afraid of terrorists. The nation would never bow to any pressure by the terrorist elements, he said, asserting "Pakistanis especially the armed forces have rendered supreme sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and extremism." Terrorists had no religion and those, who attacked the innocent people including children, were not human beings but barbarians and enemies of Islam, he maintained. To a question, he said the anti-terrorism fight was not of the US, but of Pakistan's own "We will not spare these terrorists and their accomplices on our soil and wipe them out," he vowed. To another question regarding PPP's upcoming public meeting at Mochi Gate, the Governor said the party always decided every matter on its own. The governor said that Pakistanis would continue to live normal life, by holding public meetings and other day to day activities. The terrorists did not succeed every time in fulfilling their nefarious designs, as in a number of cases security agencies succeeded in capturing or killing them before they could carry out terror activities, he responded to a questioner. The security agencies of the country carried out successful operation against terrorists in Swat Valley, where they had strong hold, he said, adding that the armed forces were purging Waziristan of terrorist elements and would soon achieve rock-solid success in this regard.
