10/19/2007 MILLINGTON, MI -- Residents of one Michigan neighborhood obliterated by an overnight tornado are recovering from a harrowing night, while at the same time celebrating a triumphant rescue. The winds blew one baby from his crib as they leveled his family's home, sparking a frantic search. Jeff Hawks, whose own home was destroyed by the twister, helped find and rescue the boy. "We looked for the baby, we ran over the six acres here looking for a body, we didn't hear anything, we were just lost and all of a sudden we heard the baby start to cry. Joe and I started ripping, started ripping and digging through this big debris five to six feet tall. He had electric chords wrapped around his neck and was still breathing, and he's okay," said Hawks. The boy's parents rushed the baby to the hospital.
