The Tuxedo is a 2002 action/comedy film starring Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt. It is a spy spoof that involves a special tuxedo that grants its wearer special abilities and a corporate terrorist threatening to poison the United States fresh water supply with bacteria that spills electrolytes into the blood and totally dehydrates the host.
Jimmy Tong (Chan) is just a lowly chauffeur for millionaire Clark Devlin (Isaacs), until Devlin has an accident that puts him in the hospital. Tong is sent back to fetch some things for Devlin and unknowingly tries on Devlin's tuxedo and finds that it gives extraordinary powers to anyone that dons the suit. This discovery thrusts Tong into world of international intrigue and espionage and pairs him with an inexperienced partner (Hewitt). Written by Tim Salazar
Locating and moving an Iron Lung proved to be quite a feat for the filmmakers. Thousands of Iron Lungs were produced thirty years ago as a treatment for polio; however, Kaufman was able to locate only seven in the entire state of California. After finding the machine, Kaufman and crew had to devise a way to move the 3,000-pound prop into the set, a National Landmark house.
