Steve Adams (born 25 September 1980, Plymouth) is an English footballer who plays for Torquay United. A defensive midfielder, he is extremely adept at breaking up attacks thanks to his ball-winning tackles and ability to read opposition passes.
Steve Adams is a Canadian illustrator.
After his studies in graphic design, Steve began his collaboration with various clients such as The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Citigroup, Washington Post, American Lawyer, Chicago Tribune, CA Magazine, The Globe & Mail, La Presse, Barefoot Books, Dominique et Compagnie.
During the past few years, he completed a number of children's books, some of which have been translated into several languages. Over the years, the illustrators received numerous accolades from among others, Communication Arts, American Illustration, Society of Illustrators, Society of Newspaper Design, Mr. Christie's Gold Seal, Governor General's Awards (shortlisted) and Applied Arts,
Steve lives in Montréal.
Steve Adams, sometimes known as Stephen Adams, played a minor, but particularly revealing, role in events surrounding the murder trial of Harry Orchard, and the trials of Western Federation of Miners (WFM) leaders Bill Haywood, Charles Moyer, and George Pettibone, all charged with conspiring to murder former Idaho Governor Frank Steunenberg, allegedly relating to a strike in Coeur d'Alene, and in the aftermath of the Colorado Labor Wars. The investigations were led by famed Pinkerton agent James McParland. As a witness for the state who recanted, Adams is particularly notable for his comments about the methods used by agent McParland to turn defendants against each other.
