The Paul Green School of Rock is a rock music program, first established in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1998, by Paul Green. Branches of the school have since been opened across the nation, in states including New York, Utah, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Washington, New Jersey and others. It teaches kids about rock music and how to be a musician, featuring seasonal shows, private lessons, group rehearsals, workshops, special guests and a growing National Music Festival held each summer.
Thomas Goss's School of Rock is a rock music program, trialled in San Francisco, CA in the early 1990's. It now a nationwide organization in New Zealand, growing immensely since its formation in 2005. It helps children aged 11-17+ learn about rock music, how to be part of a band, and how to successfully turn that "Garage band" into a successful working band.
The School of Rock is currently running in Wellington and there is also the Auckland School of Rock, a programme run by Gareth Moore and his team of mentors who are all professional musicians themselves.
The School regularly accepts Vocalists, Guitarist, Bassists, Drummers and Keyboardists.
While other instruments, such as saxophones may be auditioned as necessary and contacts keep for needed circumstances.
