Sandra Nasic is a German/Croatian singer. She was the lead singer of the rock band Guano Apes. Sandra was born in Göttingen, Germany, on May 25 1976, to Croatian parents. She has both German and Croatian citizenship.
After graduating from high school she planned to study Art and Design. But one night in 1994 at a university party the other three members of the future band spotted her. Not long after some discussion she started rehearsing with them. Nasic was originally introduced to the band by a friend who wanted their opinion on a singer he'd discovered for his own project. According to guitarist Henning Ruemenapp, the band "stole" her from him, though they remain friends.
In 2001, she was given an EinsLive Krone award for Best Singer.
