Megan Mullally (born November 12, 1958) is a four-time SAG- and two-time Emmy Award-winning American actress, talk show host and singer, perhaps best known for her role as Karen Walker on Will & Grace.
The Megan Mullally Show was a talk show hosted by Megan Mullally that debuted in syndication on September 18, 2006, and was cancelled in January 2007 due to its low ratings. 09 January 2007. blank">Megan Mullally Show Cancelled. MSNBC News. Early promotions for the program featured Mullally as herself and as her _Will & Grace character, Karen Walker. The talk show also aired nationally on TBS. On January 3, 2007, NBC Universal, the show's production company, announced that production would cease immediately, and the show aired its final episode six days later.
The first episode featured actor Will Ferrell (who came out to the set wearing nothing but his briefs) and Jenny McCarthy.

The show, along with Dr. Keith Ablow and The Greg Behrendt Show, were canceled within the first two months of 2007 for low ratings. These shows were three of the four syndicated talk shows to debut in 2006 (Rachael Ray's self-titled talk show was the other). However, unlike the other two canceled series, The Megan Mullally Show did not finish out the season (both Behrendt and Dr. Keith Ablow aired several weeks of new episodes following their cancellations, and continued in reruns until September 7, 2007).
Megan is an only child born in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Martha, was a model. Her father, Carter Mullally Jr., is a retired contract player for Paramount. Megan first entered Northwestern University intending to study acting, but switched to English literature. However, she still ended up starring in several campus musicals, which gained attention from producers and prompted her to drop out of school. In 1985, she moved to Los Angeles with no particular success. But, in 1994, she co-starred in "Grease" with 'Rosie ODonnell and, in 1995, in "How To Succeed In Business" with Matthew Broderick (I). Her star has been rising ever since.
