Marcus Williams (born December 12 1977 in Oakland, California) is a former backup tight end for the Oakland Raiders who was forced to retire in 2003 after teammate Bill Romanowski broke his eye socket with a punch.

In the 2006 NBA Draft, he was the 22nd player selected in the 1st round. Prior to the NBA, he played for the Connecticut Huskies. During his college career, he was known for his tremendous court vision and excellent passing.

Williams signed for the club on 1 July 2003 and wears the number 17 shirt. He plays left back for the club and is well known for his pace and runs up the left wing.

He has recently refused to sign a new contract at Scunthorpe meaning that he is set to leave Glanford Park during the summer.
