Jason Matthew Smith (born November 2, 1973 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is a professional ice hockey defenceman in the National Hockey League for the Philadelphia Flyers. He has played in the NHL since the 1993–94 season. He is a physical defender and is often mentioned as one of the most under-rated players in the NHL. Smith has 158 points in 868 NHL games.

Smith's career began with the South East Melbourne Magic and was just starting to find his feet when the club folded, however Smith was given another chance when new franchise Victoria Titans elected to keep his contract. Although Victoria were travelling alright on the court, off it was another story and it was not long before Victoria folded. Once Victoria had folded, Smith signed a contract with the Sydney Kings. And although Jason struggled during his first season with Sydney he excelled during the playoff series leading Sydney Kings to an NBL championship and Jason was named Grand Final MVP.

Jason Victor Smith (born March 31986, in Kersey, Colorado) is an American professional basketball player, currently playing power forward for the National Basketball Association's Philadelphia 76ers. He is the son of Jack and Roberta Smith. Smith prepped at Platte Valley High School in Colorado, where he was a two-time state player of the year. He then went on to play collegiately at Colorado State University.

At the age of 13, he also did various radio work and had a role on Water Rats while he was still at school.
