Jannero Pargo (born October 22, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American professional basketball player with the New Orleans Hornets. He has also played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors and the Chicago Bulls. He played collegiately for the University of Arkansas after transferring from Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas.
When Pargo first entered the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent, his first name was spelled with a single N--"Janero". He was released by the Lakers during the 2003-2004 season and when he was signed by the Toronto Raptors his name had gained the extra N that is now reflected in his name. This change of spelling is point that confounds basketball enthusiasts to this day.
