In the Woods... was an avant-garde metal band from Kristiansand, Norway. The band released a total of three studio albums, three singles, one compilation album and one live album throughout its existence. The band was formed by previous members of the similar-styled band Green Carnation and is now disbanded.

In The Woods… were a dark, ambient, Avant-garde metal band from Kristiansand, Norway. They started out as a Death Metal (progressive-doom metal after reformation, post- In The Woods… ) band called Green Carnation , but with the departure of main composer/guitarist Tchort to the band Emperor , they started the project called In the Woods… releasing a demo in 1993, “The Isle of Men”, and a full-length album, “HEart of the Ages”, in 1995.
