Franklin Mieuli (age 87), is best known as the former primary owner of the Golden State Warriors from 1962-1985.

Mieuli was a minority shareholder of both the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers prior to the Warriors arrival in the Bay Area in 1962. In a joint venture with Diners Club corporation, Mieuli helped put together a group of local investors to lure the Warriors out of Philadelphia.
