David Anthony Noel III (born February 27, 1984 in Durham, North Carolina) is an American professional basketball player, currently with the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA. He is a 6'6", 230-pound forward. A graduate of North Carolina, Noel was drafted by the Bucks in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft with the 39th overall pick. Noel is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
As a junior, Noel was a key reserve during the 2004-05 season, contributing as a defensive stopper and helping UNC to win its fourth National Championship in men's college basketball. In his senior season of 2005-06, Noel averaged 12.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5, assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game.
Noel won the NCAA College Slam Dunk Contest during the Final Four Weekend, beating James "Flight" White and Rodney Carney to the title.
Prior to attending UNC, Noel starred at Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina.
