Chris Brown (American football) (Wikipedia.org)

Christopher Rejean Brown (born April 17 1981, in Winfield, Illinois) is an American football running back for the Houston Texans of the National Football League. He was originally drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Colorado.

Chris Brown (soccer player born 1977) (Wikipedia.org)

Christopher Brown (born March 10, 1977 in Portland, Oregon) is an American soccer midfielder and forward who plays for Portland Timbers of USL-1.

Chris is an alum of Jesuit High School in Portland Oregon where he played soccer under the guidance of Dave Nicholas, varsity coach for the crusaders. Brown played college soccer at the University of Portland from 1995 to 1998, scoring a total of 33 goals in his four years there, and being awarded for the MAC Award as a senior.

Upon graduating, Brown was selected fifth overall in the 1999 MLS College Draft by the Kansas City Wizards. He immediately earned a spot in the Wizards rotation as a rookie, playing in 28 games and starting 19, while scoring four goals and three assists. He saw reduced playing time in 2000 after the Wizards' acquisition of Miklos Molnar, appearing in 22 games but only registering one assist; he did, however, make four appearances, two of them starts, assisting Kansas City in winning their first MLS Cup. Brown regained his starting spot in 2001, and would fluctuate between being a starter and a valuable substitute for Kansas City for the next three years.

However, during the 2003 season, the Wizards traded Brown along with Dario Fabbro to the New England Revolution in exchange for Wolde Harris and Jorge Vazquez. In his first showing there, Brown's explosive scoring yielded him a hat-trick. However, he was traded again during the 2003 off-season to the San Jose Earthquakes the then reigning MLS champions, making it difficult for Brown to displace veteran team members and capture a starting position. In San Jose, he finished the season with two goals and one assist in eleven appearances. When the MLS announced two expansion teams, Brown was recruited by John Ellinger inaugural coach of Real Salt Lake to come and play for him there where he has remained a versatile and consistent starter. He was waived at the end of 2007 and signed for USL-1 side Portland Timbers in January, 2008.

He is a proud new father of a baby girl, Baily Brown. Born July 9th, 2007.

Chris Brown (experimental music) (Wikipedia.org)

Chris Brown (b. 1953) is a composer, pianist, and electronic musician, who creates music for acoustic instruments with interactive electronics, for computer networks, and for improvising ensembles. Born and raised in Chicago, he moved to California to study electronic music with Gordon Mumma and composition with William Brooks at University of California, Santa Cruz, and with David Rosenboom at Mills College. He was active early in his career as an inventor and builder of electroacoustic instruments; he has also performed widely as an improvisor and pianist with groups as "Room" and the "Glenn Spearman Double Trio." In 1986 he co-founded the pioneering computer network music ensemble "The Hub". He is also known for his recorded performances of music by Henry Cowell, Luc Ferrari, and John Zorn. He has received commissions from the Berkeley Symphony, the Rova Saxophone Quartet, the Abel-Steinberg-Winant Trio, the Gerbode Foundation, the Phonos Foundation and the Creative Work Fund. His recent music includes the poly-rhythm installation "Talking Drum", the "Inventions" series for computers and interactive performers, and the radio performance "Transmissions" series, with composer Guillermo Galindo.

His 1992 epic electroacoustic work "Lava", for brass, percussion, and electronics is also available on Tzadik. He teaches Composition and Electronic Music at Mills College in Oakland, where he is Co-Director of the Center for Contemporary Music (CCM). He is not to be confused with R & B hit Chris Brown, who many confuse with on iTunes.

Chris Brown (baseball) (Wikipedia.org)

John Christopher Brown (August 15 1961 – December 26 2006) was an American third baseman in Major League Baseball during the 1980s, most notably with the San Francisco Giants.

Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Brown was a notable graduate of Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California, where he played high school baseball with Darryl Strawberry. The 1979 Crenshaw High Cougars baseball team was the subject of Michael Sokolove's The Ticket Out: Darryl Strawberry and the Boys of Crenshaw.

Brown was selected by the Giants in the 2nd round (44th overall) during the 1979 amateur draft. After a steady climb through the Giants minor league system, Brown made his major league debut for them in 1984 as a September call-up and quickly entrenched himself as their starting third baseman. In his first full season in 1985, Brown batted .261 with 16 home runs and 61 runs batted in for the last-place Giants, made the All-Rookie team, and finished 4th in the National League Rookie of the Year voting (Vince Coleman of the St. Louis Cardinals won the award by unanimous vote); Brown also led the NL in times being hit by pitch (11). In 1986, Brown batted .317 and made the NL All-Star team after hitting nearly .350 in the season's first half.

But things began to sour at the end of that season for Brown, whose reputation for malingering had preceded him. At the end of 1986 he complained of shoulder soreness, and when initial exams turned up no serious injury, teammates and the media accused him of bailing out. That offseason, an examination by Dr. Frank Jobe in Los Angeles discovered that there was indeed a serious problem, and surgery was performed that winter.

The following season, with Brown hitting a paltry .242 after 38 games, the Giants sent him packing on July 5 along with Keith Comstock, Mark Davis, and Mark Grant in a blockbuster midseason trade to the San Diego Padres in exchange for Kevin Mitchell, Dave Dravecky, and Craig Lefferts. Brown's play declined further as the year progressed, and he ended the year with a .237 average; the Giants went on to win the NL Western division, and the Padres finished in last place. After dropping to a .235 average in 1988 for San Diego, Brown was dealt to the Detroit Tigers and was out of baseball by 1989 at the age of 28. In his career he batted .269 with 38 home runs, 184 RBI, 164 runs, 410 hits and 21 stolen bases in 449 games.

Brown was noted for missing a remarkable number of games (over 250 between 1984 and 1988) due to claimed injuries such as a bruised tooth. The last straw for Tigers manager Sparky Anderson in 1989 came when Brown missed a game after complaining that he "slept on his eye wrong." The Tigers released him soon thereafter, and Brown never returned to the major leagues.
