Channing Thomas Frye (born May 17 1983, in White Plains, New York) is an American professional basketball player with the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers. His positions are center and power forward. He attended the University of Arizona. Standing at 6 ft 11 in and 248 lb, Frye was expected to be a high pick in the 2005 NBA Draft. He was selected 8th overall by the New York Knicks, and was the first college senior to be selected in that draft. Channing Frye was named the Rookie of the Month for November 2005 along with the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets' Chris Paul.
