Andy Kindler is an American stand-up comedian from New York City who now resides in Los Angeles.
His material often covers the comedy industry itself, criticizing other comedians for being too predictable. One of his more notable criticisms was that of Dane Cook where he compared the comedian's rise to that of Adolf Hitler's. He then went on to say that Cook was worse than Hitler, because at least Hitler had a point of view. He played the character "Andy" a fellow sportswriter and friend of Raymond on the TV show "Everybody Loves Raymond", is a regular guest on The Late Show with David Letterman, contributor to The Daily Show, has performed on HBO and made numerous appearances on Dr. Katz and Home Movies. He is also known for his annual "State of the Industry" address at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.
Andy Kindler also appeared in the World Wrestling Federation in the early 90s as the character of 'Jamison'; a stereotypical nerd type gimmick with thick-rimmed taped glasses. He made appearances on the Bobby Heenan show as well as backing up the Bushwhackers in their feud against the Beverly Brothers and The Genius. As Jamison, he also made a memorable appearance managing the Bushwhackers at the 1992 Royal Rumble, however Andy left the WWF shortly there after.
Comedian.
He is often wrongly credited as having portrayed the character of "Jamison" in the WWF. Despite both having a nerdy appearance, the two look nothing alike. The character was played by someone else.
